VSD 2 Challenge #1

Our blog group is having a Virtual Stamp/Scrap Day today. I just finished our first challenge hosted by Colleen....**waving girlie**...boy was her idea a challenge to me! We had to make a card with no layers....base only. We could use any embellishments we wanted but no extra paper layers. She asked that we create our own layers with inking, sponging...things like that.
Well, my card really looks better IRL (my hubby says the pics looks great :) He's such a sweetie!

My card base is real red c/s. Then I used some heart punchies using the 3 heart punch from SU! I put them on the card then sponged around and on them with soft suede ink and basic black. Leaving the hearts on I stamped the vine stamp from Vintage Vogue SU! stamp set in old olive ink then used versamark ink over the top of that ant embossed it with soft pink Ranger embossing powder. I used my new SU! border punch on the bottom and added a few black marker dots. I love this ribbon. I've had it forever and this is the first time I've used it! To finish it I placed soft pink rhinestones on each of the hearts.
I told hubby I thought it looked kind of biker'ish'...you know the artwork bikers have on the backs of their jackets? Doesn't it remind you of that? hee! hee!
Thanks for stopping by...
Off to finish my 2nd Challenge :)

Until next time...
Blessings...
