Merry Christmas from our silly family to yours!

Today I would like to share with you a family photo that was taken at our first Christmas get together this year. Our children wanted to play with their presents. They wanted no part of pictures! I don't blame them. This particular family gathering is filled with 'kodak moments' all night, every year. So, to show us how much they did not want the picture taken...our children decided to give the fakest smiles...wait I can't even say they're smiles, it looks more like growls, that they could possibly make. They are very funny. At the time, I looked at the camera and thought how awful, I should scold them, but I then thought, nah, they're just kids being kids. I will put this in my scrapbook (maybe even enlarge it :)) and write about all the pictures taken that night and this is how our children deal with it!!!! hehehehe!
Here it is...

So, from our silly family to yours, MERRY CHRISTMAS!
I pray you have a safe and wonderful holiday spent with family and friends and great 'kodak moments'! :)

Until next time...

What's in a word?

Happy Christmas week! I know you have lots to do and so little time to do it. It makes me very happy that you took time from your schedule to stop by my blog. I hope you're all done with your shopping and can now stay home to wrap gifts and bake. Yummm, I can smell your wonderful Christmas cookies. :)
I pray you will also take time to remember the true meaning of this glorious Season. Our Lord came to earth as a babe. He knew his mission and did it willingly. He was "Born to Die"! Born to die for you and me! That is, was and forever will be the greatest gift of all. ~Thank you Lord~

Now, for some crafty goodness! I made these two cards as a sort of personal challenge. I wanted sentiments, either stamped or computer generated, to be my focal point. No stamped images. Of course, to make them a little more interesting I used designer series paper from SU! too.

The first card has a computer generated sentiment. I used rich razzleberry as my base. Then a piece of razzleberry lemonade dsp. Crushed curry c/s and printed the sentiment on pixie pink c/s. A misc. piece of glittered chipboard and some stickles to finish it off.

And now the sister to the first card. I again used rr as my base. Then another piece of rl dsp. And yet another piece of pixie pink c/s but this time I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set Happy Everything from SU! (rich razzleberry ink). I then used a stamp from Birthday Bliss SU! stamp set and stamped on white c/s in pixie pink ink. Then punched it with my scallop circle punch and placed it with dimensionals. I finished the card with Melon Mambo ribbon.

I hope you like them. Thanks again for stopping by. Have a great day!

Until next time...

CCC #14

Here's my card for the Crafty Critters Blog Challenge #14. It was to use a Limited Supply challenge from SCS where you could only use white and one other color. If you used patterned paper it had to be white on white. Your embellishments had to be white. I chose to do a CAS card...I know that is hard to believe ;)....I can't help it. If I can make it clean and simple and still get supper on the table and kiddos loved and read too....I'M GOOD!
So, here it is...

I used white c/s as my base then stamped the snowflake from Snow Swirled in Brilliant Blue ink and used the sentiment from Christmas greeting set and inked it in the same color. I did two score lines at the bottom and then a white square brad on the bottom snowflake.
This is also the card I did as my 'mass' produced card for church. I had A LOT of cards to give out and I wanted to try and make all of them. I think it is a nice clean, pretty card.
Hope you enjoyed visiting today.
Until next time...
