Shabby Chic meets Medallion

Happy Thursday!
Tonight is our kiddos last softball game :( They have had so much fun. The coordinator of this league will never know how much this has meant to our son to have a game he could play and not get looks and stares when he is being himself. This special needs league was something so special to our family. I loved going and seeing the children with mental and physical disabilities play a sport that's usually only for the organized, "get out there and beat 'em" mind set. For once our son's Autism didn't stand in his way of doing something he loves and for that I am most grateful.
Angie, you are most appreciated. Thank you so much...

Now, on to my crafty segment of this post:

I stamped the SU! medallion stamp in old olive ink and stamped off the card lightly then off set stamped it on the very vanilla card base. I used a piece of patterned paper from my scrap stash, tore the edges and off set it also. The lace ribbon is from my goodies I got at Hobby Lobby last weekend, half price I might add! :) The sentiment is from SU! Three Little Words stamp set stamped in old olive ink on very vanilla c/s punched out with the lg. oval punch. 3 misc. buttons finish it off.

This card was made using this week's challenge at: Paper Cutz - buttons and ribbon, lace or twine and also last week's CAS challenge at SCS to make a Shabby Chic card.

Thanks for hopping over to my blog today!

Until next time...
Blessings...

Very pretty card. I love the colors and the floral dp. It really goes well with the medallion.

Great card, Mizz Melina!!
I recently purchased the medallion stamp and have yet to ink it up....

I love that you son could be himself doing something he loves. A good coach can change a life and a league like yours is surely a wonderful thing!!
