Patterned Paper is My Friend!

Hi all!
I hope your week is totally crafty so far!
I made a card last week for a couple of challenges over on SCS. In making the card, I wanted to do something I don't do a lot and that's use patterned paper. It's a real challenge for me. I most of the time, think it looks to busy on my creations.
I do really like how this one turned out though...

I like how the tree from the SU! "Snow Swirled" set looks when you off set it. Probably cause I never can get it straight when I want it front and center! This is the first project I have used my red corduroy buttons on. I am hoarding them! :~)
Well, what do you think? Did I use the patterned paper well? To give the card a little more dimension, I inked around the paper, image and red frame for the image with crumb cake ink. The sentiment is from the SU! set "Word Play".
Thanks for visiting! Your comments make my day!
Until next time...
Blessings...

Melina

Melina, your card is beautiful. I love patern paper. I started MFT challenges several months ago because I loved how the designer team decorates their cards. I love busy cards. Now if I wnat to do a simple one it would look empty to me, but I have to admit sometimes less is more, right??. Very nice job!!!. My prayers are with you!!!.

Melina, your card is beautiful! Love how you used the designer paper! How funny that you rarely use much dp (though it looks gorgeous when you do) and I almost always use DP, but on this rare occasion, we both stepped out of our comfort zones. I think you did a fabulous job!
