Going All Pink with Red Carpet Studios

Whoops!
Where did my RCS post go?
Guess I can't rely on blogger huh?....

For this challenge over at RCS we are gettin' Pretty in Pink!

Our Sponsor:

and here's what I made:

Our baby girl loves pink so this was simple for me to figure out who my subject would be! :)
I used a snowfall acetate sheet from Hunkydory on top of the Melon Mambo card stock. I found a piece of plaid, glittery scrap to accent. The snowflakes are cut with the Art Booking cartridge. I love the new vintage button and resin pieces from Stampin' Up! I thought they made lovely snowflake centers.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Be sure to check out the Red Carpet Studios challenge #54 found HERE.

Until next time...

Have an Amazing Birthday!

Hi all!
I hope you've had a wonderful week. We are getting ready for a full weekend. Our town is celebrating "Frontier Days". There is lots and lots of excitement to be enjoyed. We also have a singing (what us Southerners call a concert, Southern Gospel style) on Sunday afternoon. So, we are sure to be pooped come Sunday night. But we will have fun in the process. :)

I wanted to share a card I made today.
I stopped by the ABC Challenge blog and used their tic tac toe board to make it.

I inked up my little C.C. Design stamp "Cupcake Kiki"
I dug in my scrap box (I love getting scraps used....don't you?!) for all my card layers.
I also decided to use an eyelet.....I had to wipe the dust off of it before I did though. LOL
I got this new marker, a Wink touch of glitter marker made by Zig. Oh my goodness....I'm glittering up everything with that! It is an extremely foggy morning here (sorry for the darker pic) so I couldn't get a good shot of the glitter but I used it on her shoes, as sprinkles on the cupcake and outlines on the wrapper, in the flower middle in her hair and the little hair ribbon circles. I also made a couple of polka dot borders on the image piece and one of the background pieces. If you don't have any Zig markers.....you have to get one and try it.....You will LOVE it! (I got mine at the Scrapbooking with M.E. Boutique on FB. Link is in my right sidebar)
Here's the ABC Challenges board I used:

I used the bottom row across.
Here's a link to the challenge:
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Until next time...

WHOOOOO Loves a Mysterious Image?

I do! I do!

Hi all, it's time to reveal the Mystery again, the mystery image that is. April O. was our hostess this round. She sent us some cute images from Unity.
Here's what I made:

I wanted to give the card some kind of wood element, since we were using an owl. :) I decided on giving my owls a little oval home in a tree. *smile*

thanks for stopping by!
I can't wait to see the cards I get back from this swap.

Until next time...

Did My Ancestors Duel?

Hello everyone!
This is my second post of the day.
To see my RED CARPET STUDIOS post, scroll on down.

Today is the 15th and it's the day I "duel" with some of my friends from Split Coast Stampers.
We are the Dueling Darlings. There are 2 teams, the Divas and the Dazzlers. I'm a Dazzler! You can find the blog list for this wonderful group of ladies in my left sidebar.

This month Katie, from the Divas and April from the Dazzlers wanted us to show our heritage. Well, I've never done much studying on my genealogy (probably scared to find out what some of my ancestors were like! LOL). I really should though. I love watching the television show "Who Do You Think You Are?". I've been told that I have some Irish blood in me and I know that my grandmother (my Mother's mother) was part Indian, Cherokee I believe. Now, what percentage of Indian she was, I'm not sure but in her younger days she had black, silky hair. She was also short in stature and had a flaming temper. :) Ha Ha! So, I know she had a lot of Indian in her. LOL

I decided to show pride in my Indian Heritage with my project:

I used red, white and blue along with black so I could use the pretty ribbons and pearls that April sent along with her cute CTMH images.

Here's a close up of "mini me". WOW! Do I ever wish my legs and hips were that small! And yes, if I didn't color my hair.....I believe this would be my color! *giggle*
I colored the image with Spectrum Noir markers and used a Zig, Wink of Pearl marker around the edges.
I wanted to make her dress look Native American. I don't know if I succeeded, but I like the outcome.

Thanks for stopping by!
I can't wait to see what my other Dueling Sisters made. :)

Until next time...
Blessings...

So, for our letters and numbers challenge, I created this:

I loved using my Cricut for all the shapes. I brought out my hoarded Bo Bunny Christmas paper. I used a script piece and numbers piece for the challenge. I also have letters and numbers in my title. :)

We can't wait to see what you create for this challenge!

See you there!
