Going All Pink with Red Carpet Studios

Whoops!
Where did my RCS post go?
Guess I can't rely on blogger huh?....

For this challenge over at RCS we are gettin' Pretty in Pink!

Our Sponsor:

and here's what I made:

Our baby girl loves pink so this was simple for me to figure out who my subject would be! :)
I used a snowfall acetate sheet from Hunkydory on top of the Melon Mambo card stock. I found a piece of plaid, glittery scrap to accent. The snowflakes are cut with the Art Booking cartridge. I love the new vintage button and resin pieces from Stampin' Up! I thought they made lovely snowflake centers.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Be sure to check out the Red Carpet Studios challenge #54 found HERE.

Until next time...

Pink as All Outdoors!

Hello!

My daughter's birthday is Friday (23rd) and over at Twisted Tuesdays we have included a couple of her favorite things in the challenge this round to celebrate!

The challenge is to use the color pink (Her favorite color). The twist is we want to see some outdoor things on your creation....because Bethany LOVES playing outside. :)

Here's what I made:

This is her birthday card.
I used the cupcake monkey image from C.C. Designs.
The flower and butterfly (my outdoor things) are from Prima.
The sentiment is from a Hampton Art set.
I colored the image with Spectrum markers.

Thanks so much!

I'm also entering this at:
(my melon mambo and pink patterned papers are from my scrap pile, along with the white and kraft piece on my sentiment)
(this is the first time I have inked this little monkey up since I bought it last month)

Until next time...

Zella, Zella, She's Our GAL!

On the 5th of each month we honor one of our GALS in the Crafty Gals Blog Group (on SCS). Our Crafty Gal for July is Zella! I love how Zella uses hearts. I found them in posts on her blog
and Here

So, that's what I decided to do, use hearts! Thanks Zella for the inspiration!!!
We love seeing your bright, cheerful creations each week! :)

I went with the sketch over at Stuck?!

and added a few little leaves to my page (in the flower punch outs) to go along with the

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog.
I can't wait to see how the other Crafty Gals were inspired by Zella this month! :)

My First Mini Album

Hi!
I tried something new over the weekend. I made my first mini album. I have been wanting to do something like this for a while to showcase our kiddos school pics. I decided to start with Bethany's first since hers was shorter (she's in the 2nd grade :) to get a feel for what I was doing. Aaron's will come next with lots more pages!

I started with a 12x12 cardboard insert from my CM page packs. I cut the cardboard into 4x4 pieces. This size holds decorations and a wallet size pic nicely. I used the Jasmine Cricut cartridge for her name, punched the circles and used the SU! Play Date rub ons over them.

I picked a pack of SU! patterned paper called Play Date for my color scheme. I liked the bright, primary colors.

I had to include her first cheerleading pic. She loves cheering! I got to use my pennant punch, love that thing. Also on this and the cover I used my Verve notebook paper stamp, so cute!

I finally got to use my SU! owl punch. I just haven't had a project to use it on until now. I also tried to use my baker's twine in a fun new way on each of these pages.

Finally, the back cover....simple but cutsie :) Those SU! Play Date rub ons were a little tricky but came out good. I punched holes in each page with my crop-a-dile (large hole) and then tied baker's twine, tempting turquoise and choc. chip ribbon to finish the book.
Thanks for visiting my blog. I appreciate your comments :)

Until next time...

Another Party?!

Hello............Hello..............Hello!!!!

The start of a new week already! Wow! I hope you have a great one ;)

I'm working my way toward my scrapbooking goal! I'm so proud of myself for getting more pages done. This is #4 for the year...

My new favorite crafting goody comes from a sight called My Tattered Angels. On the journaling piece I spritzed it with their Glimmer Mist....2 colors....Dranonfly (blue) and Starfish (pink). I love this stuff! It's a lot like smooch spritz but Tattered Angels shimmery stuff comes in loads more colors.

Okay, so too the pics. This was the 2nd party of the day for Bethany's 4th Birthday. The first one was with hubby's side of the family, during the day, out to eat, presents, shopping and a carousel ride. The second one was with my side of the family, a late afternoon of swimming, games, presents and a homemade cake by........moi! This was my first attempt at a pretty, layered cake using fondant. And well, I'm not too crazy about the taste of fondant....don't know that I'll ever use it again...but it did make for a pretty cake.

Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time...

Back to Scrappin'

My first post of 2011! It took me 10 days, that's pitiful...
I promise to do better!!!!
It's going to be a great year. I've already decided. :)

My #1 crafty resolution this year is to get back to scrappin'.
I'm so behind. I'm working on my 2008 album! ugh! ....and me being the chronological scrapbooker that I am, I can't scrap out of order. so I'm right now, making my daughter's 4th birthday pages.....and yes, she's 6 years old.......ummmm really 6 1/2!

She had a great 4th birthday. I bought her a birthday girl shirt with matching hair bow. She walked around all day showing off her new digs. I'm exactly like that when I get new clothes (probably cause I rarely ever get new clothes). Of course, I don't go around telling everyone like she did (giggle) but I do "wear the new" out of them rather quickly! :)

I used lots of Pepples ~ Twitterpated Collection and heidi grace designs papers with this layout.

I used the sketch provided by Sketchy Thursdays Challenge blog this week.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Until next time...
Blessings...
