Mysterious Dinos!

Hi!
I'm back with a card I made for the Mystery bunch!

We are a group of card makers on SplitCoastStampers. Each round has a new host that send us Mysterious images that we color and make cards with.
Kate was our hostess this round and she sent the most adorable little dinosaur image from Stampin Up!

Here's what I made:

I used all SU! papers and card stocks, cut the image (colored it with Spectrum markers) out with my large scallop circle punch (SU) and then some layering circles with my Spellbinders dies. The sentiment is from an AmyR set "Sweet Sentiments". I punched that out with my SU scalloped oval punch. I finished the card with a star brad from my stash.
Simple, simple, simple. :)

The orange circle is popped up on foam dots.

This little image just said "boy's birthday" to me so that's what I went with.

I'm excited to see what everyone creates with this image and what cards I get back from the swap!

Thanks for visiting me!

Until next time...
Blessings...

Time to Reveal the Mystery!

The Mysterious ladies over at Splitcoaststampers are ready to reveal the images they got from Sweet P (Paola)!

She sent us a sassy little cutie to color up. I made my cards even more of a mystery by using a different fold than I usually do and adding a sleeve. :)

Hmmmmmm, where's the image Sweet P sent?

....inside the gate fold card! :)
the sentiment on the sleeve is from SU! I punched it our with the large scallop circle punch from SU! and added some glittery dots with my Zig Wink of Stella marker. I love dewdrops.....added a few of those on either side of the sentiment piece.

here's a close up of the image
I colored my image with Spectrum markers and used a Zig Wink of Stella marker for the little silver polka dots. I also added a few touches with my Gelly roll white gel pen.
I hope whomever receives my cards likes what I did this round.

Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time...

Sharon, Sharon, She's Our Gal!

It's time again for the Crafty Gals Blog group to honor another member.
This month it's Sharon's turn. Sharon is a girl after my own heart. She loves using nature as inspiration in her cards. In other words, she like flowers. So do I. This was a treat for me to CASE her style.
Just look at how many cards are in this one post! "Good times....Great Friends"
I love her use of the Secret Garden stamp set and patterned papers. I don't use enough patterned paper, I'm trying, but Sharon inspired me to use it on my card this time....

Believe it or not, this is my first time using the wood grain embossing folder from SU! I had to take it out of the package....for shame. :) I decided it would be a good natural element to go along with my nature inspired creation.

Thank you Sharon for being a Crafty Gal! Love and hugs!
I can't wait to visit the other Gals to see how they were inspired by Sharon.

I used the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches #102
Clean is their game over at FMS and that's why I like playing there.......it challenges me not to distress the edges of my card stock or ink them or tear it or crumple it..... *giggle*

Thanks for visiting my blog. Comments are very much appreciated!

Until next time...
Blessings...

Falling Apples

Hi y'all!

My post title seems appropriate for the upcoming fall season. :)
...and I think my card is too...
although it could also be interpreted as a teacher card with school back in session.

I bought this stamp set from a crafty friend of mine that is getting rid of inventory. Yep, she used to have a craft store and closed it. She says her house is full of boxes of goodies. I took advantage!!!! :)
This set is from FarmHouse stamp company called Sugar Hill. The sentiment is also in the set.

I stamped the leaves on the same SU patterned paper as is behind the image strip and then cut them out for the apples. To finish off the card, I added a few tiny pearls to the banners.

Scraps of Happy Thoughts

Hi all!

I'm back again with a card.
I made this card with scraps of patterned paper I recently used on a layout. I thought the balloons went along great with the sentiment :)

I used three different punches on the sentiment piece.
Even my buttons are "scraps" they were left over from another project....just laying on my craft desk.
The paper is from echo park and the sentiment is from CTMH.

I am entering this at:

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Until next time...
