Mysterious Dinos!

Hi!
I'm back with a card I made for the Mystery bunch!

We are a group of card makers on SplitCoastStampers. Each round has a new host that send us Mysterious images that we color and make cards with.
Kate was our hostess this round and she sent the most adorable little dinosaur image from Stampin Up!

Here's what I made:

I used all SU! papers and card stocks, cut the image (colored it with Spectrum markers) out with my large scallop circle punch (SU) and then some layering circles with my Spellbinders dies. The sentiment is from an AmyR set "Sweet Sentiments". I punched that out with my SU scalloped oval punch. I finished the card with a star brad from my stash.
Simple, simple, simple. :)

The orange circle is popped up on foam dots.

This little image just said "boy's birthday" to me so that's what I went with.

I'm excited to see what everyone creates with this image and what cards I get back from the swap!

Thanks for visiting me!

Until next time...
Blessings...

Have an Amazing Birthday!

Hi all!
I hope you've had a wonderful week. We are getting ready for a full weekend. Our town is celebrating "Frontier Days". There is lots and lots of excitement to be enjoyed. We also have a singing (what us Southerners call a concert, Southern Gospel style) on Sunday afternoon. So, we are sure to be pooped come Sunday night. But we will have fun in the process. :)

I wanted to share a card I made today.
I stopped by the ABC Challenge blog and used their tic tac toe board to make it.

I inked up my little C.C. Design stamp "Cupcake Kiki"
I dug in my scrap box (I love getting scraps used....don't you?!) for all my card layers.
I also decided to use an eyelet.....I had to wipe the dust off of it before I did though. LOL
I got this new marker, a Wink touch of glitter marker made by Zig. Oh my goodness....I'm glittering up everything with that! It is an extremely foggy morning here (sorry for the darker pic) so I couldn't get a good shot of the glitter but I used it on her shoes, as sprinkles on the cupcake and outlines on the wrapper, in the flower middle in her hair and the little hair ribbon circles. I also made a couple of polka dot borders on the image piece and one of the background pieces. If you don't have any Zig markers.....you have to get one and try it.....You will LOVE it! (I got mine at the Scrapbooking with M.E. Boutique on FB. Link is in my right sidebar)
Here's the ABC Challenges board I used:

I used the bottom row across.
Here's a link to the challenge:

Shabby Birthday Wishes

Hello!
thanks for visiting me

Here's a birthday card I made using a Tim Holtz die and my Big Shot.

I used the pic inspiration over at The Shabby Tea Room
You have to use the colors in the photo as inspiration, plus use material and flowers on your creation. I used tulle material on the dress form along with twine and ribbon and lace behind the form. I used a piece of flower trim for the tiny broach.

I have just found their blog and love the ideas over there! :)

Until next time...
Blessing...

Pink as All Outdoors!

Hello!

My daughter's birthday is Friday (23rd) and over at Twisted Tuesdays we have included a couple of her favorite things in the challenge this round to celebrate!

The challenge is to use the color pink (Her favorite color). The twist is we want to see some outdoor things on your creation....because Bethany LOVES playing outside. :)

Here's what I made:

This is her birthday card.
I used the cupcake monkey image from C.C. Designs.
The flower and butterfly (my outdoor things) are from Prima.
The sentiment is from a Hampton Art set.
I colored the image with Spectrum markers.

Thanks so much!

I'm also entering this at:
(my melon mambo and pink patterned papers are from my scrap pile, along with the white and kraft piece on my sentiment)
(this is the first time I have inked this little monkey up since I bought it last month)

Until next time...

Clean and Simple and NO WORDS!?!? WHAT?!

OH MY!
This week's CAS challenge (SCS) is a doozie!

Create a card using no sentiment at all but your image must convey a sentiment.

Well since today (May 12th) is my birthday, I had to go with a birthday theme :)

I love my one and only Whipper Snapper stamp! LOL

I colored the image with Spectrum/Noir markers then cut it out and mounted it on a piece of basic gray card stock that I had die cut with the Spellbinders Labels Fourteen die. I traced around the edge of the die with a white gel pen. The blue paper is from a MME stack called Away We Go.

Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time...

Sweet 16!

Hi all!

I was asked to make a few decorations for our nephew's 16th birthday.
I was stumped! I mean guy stuff! Gasp! Sooooo out of my element!
I just don't make that must masculine stuff.
But, his mom (my sister in law) told me his colors and from there....it was pretty easy. :)

I made cupcake toppers....

...and his birthday banner...

 (above is entire banner)
(close up of his name)

and here's the card we gave him...

He is a shy kid. So, he was pretty "red" when he saw what was going on.
But, he had a great party and his parents surprised him with a vehicle!

:) :) :)

Until next time...

Twisted Tuesdays and Manly Tools!

Hello!
Are you a Twisted Tuesday fan? We hope so!
This week, Twisted Tuesdays wants to see your masculine cards. The Twist is you need to use "tools". This can be a stamped image or you can use your Big Shot, Cuttlebug, Cricut, paper punches....hey that's the tools we use in crafting isn't it?! hahahaha! Come show us what you created!

Here's my masculine card. For the Twist, I used my Big Shot, a Spellbinders die and a paper punch:

I hope this is masculine enough. It's going to my Dad for his birthday :)

Thanks for stopping by today!

Crafty Gals Birthday Hop!

I'm late! I'm late!
Forgive me Carolina! Today is the day to post our creations for the Crafty Gals Blog group hop. My mojo was MIA! My card just wouldn't come together and I wasn't happy with anything sooooooo, I turned to my love of scrapbooking to pull me through! :)

Carolina (our hostess this month) wanted to see birthday creations with an animal, the colors red and blue and 4 shapes. Whew! I think I got it all in.
Here's what I created:

A very simple 12x12 page. My papers are from the DCWV Celebration stack. I cut the "1", "2", and "3" pieces from one of the pages and I popped them up on dots. The red strip is SU! real red textured card stock. I used my EK zig zag punch on the striped paper to mimic the green rick rack trim I added to the corner. I added some ink around a few of the edges and buttons. Now, all I need to add is some birthday pictures! :)

Thank you Carolina for a fun challenge! I love your idea!
Please go and check out the other Crafty Gals creations. Their blogs are listed in my right sidebar.

thanks so much for visiting today!

Until next time...

Glittery Chocolate Lovers!

Hi everyone!

Are you ready to get Twisty?
Head on over to Twisted Tuesdays.
We want to see your chocolate inspired creations.
Oh, and the twist......we want to see some glitter too!

Here's what I made:

I used some DCWV paper with yummy cupcakes on it. Punched them out with my hexagon punch and inked around the edges.
I saw a card on the CAS-ual Fridays blog using hexagons like this last week and just had to try it. I added a few chocolate pearls and some twine. My sentiment is stamped in chocolate chip ink. My glitter is on the chocolate frosted cupcake (star dust stickles) and the purple and green cupcake (cinnamon stickles).

Okay, your turn!! We want to see your yummy creations! Hop on over and show em off.

This card also goes along with this week's CAS challenge on SCS.....to use twine.

Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time...
Blessings...
