Oh Baby, What an Inspiration!

Here's what I made today:

I decided, even with all my class prep for tomorrow night, that I wanted to play along with the current challenge over at Our Creative Corner:

I have never put these colors together,

Poppy Parade

Tempting Turquoise

Chocolate Chip

Very Vanilla

but that's the colors I took from the photo and I also had to use a cupcake image after looking at the beautiful cakes in the pic! Then the delicate way everything is set up in the pic made me think of my sheer cream ribbon I've been hoarding!

So, what do you think? Did I come close? :-)

Hot Chocolate Cupcakes

SNOW, SNOW, SNOW....

I've been cooped up in the house way too long....watching way to much Food TV. I decided to do some baking and I wanted to share pics of these Hot Chocolate cupcakes I made. I thought up the name and made up all the stuff to go together. Didn't use a recipe. Are you impressed?! *giggle*


Devil's Food cake mix


Frosting I made from scratch....(I'm very proud of myself for that! :))


and hot fudge drizzle.

They are very good. The cake is moist. The frosting is shiny and oooooozzzzzy! The hot fudge on top makes you think you're eating a solid form of hot chocolate. Yummmmmo!

Well, that's what I've been doing today, stuck in the house because of all that beautiful white stuff outside.
Now I think I need to get as far away from these little beauties as possible or I'll end up needing to do my Walk Away the Pounds video 15 times tonight!
....think I'll venture over to my crafting desk :)
