Secret Garden Congrats!

Hello!

I forgot to share this card that I created for Barb's (SCS) Congratulations swap a few weeks ago.

I love my new SU! Secret Garden stamp set and dies.
I colored the flower with my Spectrum/Noir markers.
I like the clean look of this too. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time...

This Challenge Smells Great!

Hello!

I'm "crafty refreshed"!

I got home last night from a 3 day retreat. I got 26 pages finished and 4 cards. I love when I get crafting accomplished!!!

I wanted to share with you the card I made for this week's CAS challenge over on SCS. Our theme this week is "that smells great". I chose to use flowers since all my flowers around the house smell wonderful right now (even though some make me sneeze! LOL).

I love the SU! set Secret Garden. Well, that isn't so shocking since I love Nature themed stamps :)

I hope you can join us with your CAS creation this week!

I also entered my card at:

Dueling Darlings are Capturing Memories!

Hi everyone!

Today I get to share with you a creation I finished days ago. The kit was sent to me by Jeanette (Forest Ranger - SCS) for the Dueling Darlings challenge. She is the hostess for the Dazzlers this month. Kelly is the hostess for the Divas. They wanted us to capture some memories!

Here's what I made with the cute kit Jeanette sent:

I love that little image she sent! I colored mine with Spectrum/Noir markers. The polaroid die cut she sent was white chipboard. I covered it with some of the paper she sent, used my Prima craft knife to trim out the middle and framed up my pretty ladies. I added some liquid pearls to the clear dot embellishment in the kit. I think it makes it look like one of those view master slides. KWIM? This is 6x6 in size. I'm going to use it on a scrap page.

I think one of my favorite memories I've captured over the years has to be my children fresh from their newborn baths. Seeing all the family there at the hospital cradling these little bundles......it's a very proud and humbling moment. :)

Until next time...

Clean and Simple and NO WORDS!?!? WHAT?!

OH MY!
This week's CAS challenge (SCS) is a doozie!

Create a card using no sentiment at all but your image must convey a sentiment.

Well since today (May 12th) is my birthday, I had to go with a birthday theme :)

I love my one and only Whipper Snapper stamp! LOL

I colored the image with Spectrum/Noir markers then cut it out and mounted it on a piece of basic gray card stock that I had die cut with the Spellbinders Labels Fourteen die. I traced around the edge of the die with a white gel pen. The blue paper is from a MME stack called Away We Go.

Until next time...

Tracie, Tracie She's Our Gal!!!

It's the 5th....today I get to honor one of my Crafty Gal pals by CASEing her style :)

This month it's Tracie's turn. I love her little critters she creates with her Cricut! She makes such cute cards and scrap book pages using her machine.

Here's what I made to honor Tracie:

My little dog is an element I received in a swap on SCS. I decided he needed a meadow to play in. :) I inked the edges of my torn certainly celery card stock. The cloud paper is from a My Minds Eye stack. I added a sentiment from a Hampton Art set I got a good bargain at HobLob over the weekend. Then added 4 brads to finish it off.

I can't wait to visit the other Crafty Gals blogs to see what they created thinking of Tracie!!!
Their blogs are located in my right sidebar. Go check them out!

Thanks for stopping by.

Until next time...

Twisted Tuesdays is having a Free For All!

Hi all!

I'm so excited to let you know that Twisted Tuesdays posted a new challenge today and it's a Free For All! Anything Goes so get over there and show us what you got! :)

I made this card for yesterday's CAS Challenge over at SCS and am just getting it on my blog today:

I punched three 1" squares on a scrap piece of card stock and used that for my mask. I sponged bashful blue and old olive inks on then stamped an a*muse stamp (beautiful botanicals 2) on top. The sentiment is from CTMH Card Chatter ~ Sympathy.

It's one layer and it's totally CAS :)

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Until next time...

Well, Hello Hexagons

Hi everybody!

This is a card I made for the SCS CAS challenge this week. It is a sketch challenge (I love those). I have the SU hexagon (honey comb) embossing folder....I have had it since it came out.....and just never used it. Well, I wish I would have done it sooner. I love that thing :)

Here's how I used it:

The panel  is popped up on dots. The sentiment is punched out with the oval punch. I made some little berries with my melon mambo marker. I also stamped off on my grid paper before stamping the fainter leaf images to give dimension.
I have this stamp set, Leaf Lines. It is retired. I just can't let it go. I love the sketch like leaves in the set. If you know me, you know I love Nature stamps anyway. Yes, I think this set will stay in my collection for years and years to come. :)

I am also entering my card in the following challenge:
Crafty Creations #218 No patterned paper
