A Mysterious Pony!

Hey!
It's time to share the Mystery with you!
The Mystery swappers on SCS love finding out what image they will be working with. This round, Kate is hosting and she sent such a cute image. I love it!

Here's what I created using the image she sent us:

Is that not the cutest little pony?! Not because of my coloring...it's just cute! :) I love her little prancing hoof. :)

I used lace on this card. That's not a regular thing for me but I like it. I cut the image out with my Spellbinders....used a MS punch on the chocolate piece....and cut out some stamped flowers to go with "my little pony" ;)

I hope Kate likes my cards and I can't wait to see what the other Mysterious Swappers make using this great image.

Thank you for stopping by my little blog!

Until next time...
Blessings...

Glittery Chocolate Lovers!

Hi everyone!

Are you ready to get Twisty?
Head on over to Twisted Tuesdays.
We want to see your chocolate inspired creations.
Oh, and the twist......we want to see some glitter too!

Here's what I made:

I used some DCWV paper with yummy cupcakes on it. Punched them out with my hexagon punch and inked around the edges.
I saw a card on the CAS-ual Fridays blog using hexagons like this last week and just had to try it. I added a few chocolate pearls and some twine. My sentiment is stamped in chocolate chip ink. My glitter is on the chocolate frosted cupcake (star dust stickles) and the purple and green cupcake (cinnamon stickles).

Okay, your turn!! We want to see your yummy creations! Hop on over and show em off.

This card also goes along with this week's CAS challenge on SCS.....to use twine.

Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time...
Blessings...

Golden Oldie Duel!

We're Dueling Again!

Darlene sent us (Dazzlers) a cutie, cute kit.

Here's what I made with it.
Just look at that lovely couple!
Do you see their liver spots?! Hahahaha I couldn't resist!!!

These are the details to the kit she sent:
Image is from Art Impression's "Golden Oldies series, entitled BBQ Couple  (isn't it fun?!)
DP:  Karen Foster Designs: Food & Family Collage; Ants on Parade; Barbecue Bash DP: Reminisce:  Picnic Parade; Grill Master
Stickers:  Reminisce:  Backyard Bash

Other misc. embellishments are from my stash here, no particular vendor.
Please post a favorite barbecue recipe, or a salad or side dish recipe that is a hit with your family when getting together for cookouts.  Tami & I thought that it would be fun to swap some recipes with this round.
So, all I added was my white card base and the red hexagon shapes. I had fun with this fun kit.
Okay, my favorite BBQ recipe.....well, currently (I have a lot of BBQ faves!) I'm lovin' me some grilled corn!

Garlic~Cheese Corn

~ Fresh corn on the cob
~ garlic powder
~ butter
~ Parmesan cheese
~ foil

Take the husks off your corn, clean the silks off. Pull off enough foil to wrap the ears. I usually have 4 ears and pull off 4 pieces of foil. Sprinkle each ear lightly with garlic powder. Then add some dashes of Parmesan cheese along with a tsp "shmear" of butter. Roll the ears pulling edges up and place on the grill on med heat for 15 minutes. Turn them half way through cooking process.
Oh my! I will never prepare corn on the cob by boiling it again! I love this stuff. **When a grill is not available you can do the same thing in the oven....400 degrees for approx. 25 minutes.**

Thanks so much for visiting!
Please see what our other Darlings have made.....their blogs are listed in my left side bar.

Until next time...

Christmas in July!

Hi all!

I've been a very bad girl. I haven't had a crafty second it seems these past few weeks. I hope to get "back in the swing of things" this next week.......then I'm off again for a week at the beach. :) Summer is SOOOO busy around here.

Anyway, I was supposed to have a CAS Christmas card loaded to my blog on the 5th. As you can see that didn't happen. I was out of town....again. So, to our wonderful hostess Patty, in the Crafty Gals group, I am so, so sorry I'm late. Here it is though....two cards for the challenge!!!! :)

With my first card I used the new Lacy & Lovely set from SU! I love circles you know, so that set was a must have for my first order out of the new catalog. :) I cut the circles with my Spellbinders and the sentiment (Christmas Greetings SU! set) is cut with the deckled rectangles Spellbinders die.

My second CAS Christmas card for Patty's challenge.
I used the For the Birds set from SU! (I love that set!!!). I ink pad, water-colored the image. The background paper is from Paper Studio. I distressed the newsprint paper and added some lace and twine.

The second card also goes along with the Twisted Tuesday Challenge this week. To make a vintage style card with stripes. :) Check it out! You have until Sunday night to enter!

Patty!!! Thank you so much for a great challenge :)
Please be sure and visit my other Crafty Gal Sisters. Their blogs can be found in my right sidebar.

Have a great day!

Until next time...
Blessings...
