Splitcoast Challenge Creations

Hello!
It's Spring Break around here. Yippeeee! :)

I hope you have a wonderful week....hope Spring is visiting too.

Here's a few creations I made for Splitcoast Stamper challenges the last couple of days...

First, I made it to the 3rd round, the finals, of the CAS DT search! Yea! For the last challenge we had to keep "housewares" in mind and use a picture from Pinterest for inspiration.

Here's the pic:

I used a cup stamp set from Inkadinkado and the sentiment is from the MFT set Blessed Mouse. The brad is from the brand new collection from Prima called Lady Bird.

Next, I made this card for the Featured Stampers challenge. Jen Timdo was honored. She has lots and lots of wonderful SUO creations in her gallery. Congratulations! Here's the card I created:

I punched the circles out of the white piece before I ran it through the Big Shot with the Dots ef. I then used some scraps of card stock and paper to fill in the negative parts of the circles.

Lastly, I made this card for the CAS challenge posted today at SCS. We were to use line stamps instead of solid ones. Well, my dragonflies are half and half I guess....Their bodies are solid and their wings are lined....hope this counts :)

very, very CAS huh?!
I added some liquid pearls to their bodies for a little sparkle.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Until next time...
Blessings...

Look What I Got!

Hello!

I got some great goodies......something I've been playing with all day :)

Yep!!! I finally got Spectrum/Noir markers....more than just a couple of packs! Yea! Now, I have enough colors to be able to color an entire image with them and not a little with them and the rest with watercolor pencils! Ugh....
I do still have my Copics but as you can see only a few...mostly skin tones.
I've been saving and "selling".....crafty creations that is....*giggle* for these markers forever. I already had the green pack. I bought both blue packs, the reds, pinks, yellows and browns. Then I bought the filler packs of 24 in Brights and Lights. I still need some purple tones and I would love to have the filler pack of 24 in Pastels. But....those will have to wait. :)

So, here's my first card, created with my (complete to me right now) Spectrum/Noir markers:

Okay, so yes, I know I have a long way to go before I can get out of the "beginner" class of coloring....but it's a start, right?

Here's the inside of my card:

Let me know what you think. :)

Supplies:
Image: Riley (given to me, sorry don't know the exact name)
Sentiments: CTMH card chatter - Sympathy
Paper C/S: HL Kraft, echo park - everyday eclectic, GP white
Sentiment ink: SU chocolate chip
bakers twine - The Twinery
Green rhinestones - Kaisercraft
Spellbinders - Labels Fourteen and Big Shot
CM corner rounder punch
sponge dauber, TM linen distress ink, sanding bar
Coloring: Spectrum/Noir markers (sorry I was so excited I didn't write down all the numbers I used....I'll be better about that in the future!)

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog.

Until next time...

Bathing Beauties (giggle)

It's time again to show off our Mystery image creations.
Carol sent us some beauties! :)

I went with a middle fold with an overlay.
I gave these lovely ladies lots of red lipstick......can you tell they didn't use a mirror for application?! ha ha ha

The inside

I can't wait to see what the other Mysterious swappers created with these great images!

Simple SplitCoast Challenge Creations

Hi everyone. Welcome to my blog. Thanks so much for stopping by.

I wanted to share a few creations I've been making for SCS challenges the last couple of days.

* First, I made this for last week's CAS sketch challenge:

The paper is from Echo Park - Everyday Eclectic
The stamp from Close to My Heart - Celebration

* Then this is the card I made for the first challenge of the Spring Design Team Call for the CAS challenges:

The challenge was to use something wet, like embossing with heat set, paints, spritzes, etc.
I chose to use white embossing powder on kraft c/s. I stamped my CTMH doily stamp from the Simple Memories set in versamark ink then embossed in white and heat set it. I then used my tattered angels misting spray (dragonfly) to alter the look of the kraft c/s.

* Next I made a card for the Featured Stamper Challenge from yesterday. Nancy Littrell was featured. I loved looking through her gallery.

Nancy's card is a flower theme with a white card base. I kept the layout but went with a star theme. She used scallops on the right side of her rectangle. I went with pearls.
I cut the rectangle and stars with my Cricut.
The sentiment is from CTMH - Flower Pot

* Finally, today's CAS challenge is beautiful! It's pinterest inspired. Here's the pic we were to go by:
and here's my simple take on it:

The sentiment is another from CTMH - Card Chatter Sympathy
I used my Cuttlebug embossing folder (the swirly one....can't call the name) on a smaller piece of white c/s and then went crazy with my circle punches! LOL

Well, there they are....lots of eye candy....I hope you enjoyed. :)

Until next time...
Blessings...

We're Dueling Again!

Well it's that time again!

April O. sent us Dazzlers an ohhhh so cute kit. I love Bella stamps so I was in love with this kit.

The kit included:

3 gold brads
Picture clips in white, black and brown
Kaiser paper flowers (used it)
Assorted ribbon (used 1)
Paper:  Heidi Grace Shimmer Foil Clover (used it)
             Karen Foster Shamrocks
             Lucky Limeade
Computer generated Celtic Blessing (used it on the inside)
MFT ala mode 'Wishing You Luck (used the one on cream)

I colored the image with my Spectrum markers. I made the rolled rose and inked it slightly, and I added the old olive piece. The patterned paper, green flower and twine is from April's kit.
I love using papers and card stocks in a "loplolly" way. This way if you're off center or crooked....no one knows! *giggle*

Kadie is the hostess for the Divas team. I can't wait to see what their kit consisted of!
I am one blessed girl to be able to be a part of the Dueling Darlings group on SCS.

Until next time...
Blessings...

March Designs with Scrapbooking with M.E.

Hello!

I wanted to share some pages I completed with my March kit from the Scrapbooking with M.E. Boutique (on FB, click on the badge in my right sidebar to go directly to the group page).

Our March kit is from Bo Bunny. I love that company!

Scrapbooking is so easy with these beautiful papers!

I would have never thought to use newsprint papers on a baby page. But, I do believe it works :)

I'm doing good. I remembered to take a close up of a detailed part of one of my pages.
I cut a scalloped doily with my Cricut, then layered on some sponged Kaisercraft flowers the middle of the flower and the word "day" are from a sheet from the kit....so is the banner. The word "fun" is some letters from my stash.

Thanks for visiting me today.

Until next time...
Blessings...

Carolina! Carolina! She's our Gal!

(This is my second post today, please go here for my Twisted Tuesday creation)

Today is not only Twisted Tuesday, it is the 5th and that means the Crafty Gals Blog Group have a challenge. We are honoring Carolina this month. She is a wonderful crafter. She colors images like you would not believe! She loves mixing patterns and using bright colors. She makes very, very cute creations.

Well, we were to CASE her.
I can't even come close to coloring as well as she does. But, I did try to mix up my patterns, use bright colors and make a cute card. :)

Carolina also loves MFT (My Favorite Things company), so I added a cut from their ticket die to the corner of my card. I received this image and the cute polka dot card stock from my sweet friend Tami! (blueinks). I love this little Hedgehog image!

Carolina! I hope you like this girl! You are such an inspiration to me :)
Please go and see what the other Crafty Gals have made in honor of Carolina. Their blogs are listed in my right sidebar.

Twisted Tuesdays is Springing into Green!

Hi everyone!
I hope you're having a terrifically inky day! :)

Please stop by the Twisted Tuesday blog and play along with our new challenge.
We want to see your Spring like creations and include some green in your creation. This can be the color green or something recycled.

*We are also having a Twisted Tuesday Design Team Call! Check it out we would love for you to join us! You can find the Call and our current challenge by clicking the badge in my right sidebar.

Here's what I made:

It's a cloudy spring day on my card. I LOVE crafty clouds....the real ones, well as long as there is no stormy weather associated with them...I like those too :)
For this card, I used a stamp set that I just received from a lady in a group on FB. I'm all about finding crafty, bargain sale groups on that site. I love when other people get tired of their stamps and sell them super cheap! *giggle* I think a little birdie would have been a nice addition to my card but I just couldn't find the right one. So, my bird house is just waiting on a visitor.

Here's something that I rarely do, take a close up of my card. Because my creations are good to see from afar! ha ha ha ha ha But, I did want to show you my inked clouds and die cut clouds up close.
The die cut clouds are cut with my Cricut with the Indie Art cartridge.
I colored my scene with Spectrum/Noir markers.
The sentiment is from the CTMH set, Celebration.
Here's the inside. I just purchased this Fiskars grass punch. It was on sale for 50% off.....yep, bargain shopping again!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Supplies:
Hampton Art clear stamp set
CTMH set, Celebration
Cricut machine and Indie Art cartridge
Fiskars grass border punch
Memento Tuxedo black and rich cocos inks, bashful blue ink (SU)
Spectrum Noir markers
card stocks: Kraft (HobLob), white, old olive (SU), melon mambo (SU)
pop dots
sponge dauber

Until next time...

Fun with Washi Tape

Hi All!
I'm sorry for being MIA on my blog. I've had lots going on.

I just finished up a Scrapbook retreat last weekend. I finished 24 pages. :)

Here are a few I did using Washi tape (paper tape) as accents.

Black zig zag washi tape

Red berry washi tape
(yes, that is Me in the gray beard....we played Peter and Paul...LOL)

Crimson houndstooth washi tape

I hope you like my examples of using this fun embellishment.

Thanks for visiting!

Until next time...
Blessings...
