They Love the Beach

Hi everybody!

I have a page to share with you today.
I keep finding beach pictures (of the same year) that need to be scrapped. I can't believe all the pics I took......also I have 2 sets, 1 in color and 1 in black and white! LOL I went crazy that summer with pictures! WOW!
This was the last summer before Bethany started school. :( I guess I thought I needed to capture every moment.

For my page:
I grabbed some papers from the Echo Park collection ~ A Perfect Summer and
Bo Bunny collection ~ Key Lime Wipe Out and went to "work". :)
The little flowers are from the Scrapbooking with M.E. Boutique (link is in my right sidebar)
I used a set of thickers for my Beach title.
I went a little crazy with my white gel pen. See all the doodles? ha ha

I used the sketch over at Sketches in Thyme

Thanks so much for visiting my little blog.

Until next time...
Blessings...

Baby Gifts

Hello!
It's Tuesday I hope you will join us at Twisted Tuesday challenges. This go 'round we want to see something that begins with an "I" on your creation (ink being the easiest). The Twist is we also want to see you use an embossing folder. We want to see all that pretty embossing!

Here's what I did....

My "I" is ink, iridescent pearls & inchies (the little white punched pieces). I cut a large circle from kraft c/s with my Cricut then ran it through the Big Shot with the bubble Cuttlebug embossing folder. I also inked it with some tea stain distress ink from Tim Holtz.

I used the sketch at Sketches in Thyme.

I always end up making my pieces so much larger than the sketches show.....hmmmmmmmm.
Oh well.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Until next time...
Blessings...

Finally Finished this Album!

Hi all!
I'm so excited because I finally finished my niece's baby album I started over a year ago! I'm such a procrastinator! ugh

These two pages finished off the album:

This was my niece's first Christmas. (Yes, you have seen pages on my blog of her in this outfit before.....I'm so ashamed at how slowly I finished this thing!) The papers I used are from an old SU! Christmas pack. I am trying my best not to buy anymore patterned paper/card stock until I use up a lot that I already have.
The title is cut with my Cricut using the All Mixed Up cartridge.

For this page I followed a sketch over at Sketches in Thyme
I love the Sketches over there!

Then, this is the last page of the album:
I was able to start the album with her birth (yes, I was in the delivery room with my Sis!) and finished it when she was just shy of 1 year old. :)
The title on this page is cut with the same cartridge as the one above.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Until next time...
Blessings...

Sleepover!

Hello everyone! I hope your day is going well.

Today I wanted to share with you a double page layout I completed following a couple different challenges.

The Twisted Tuesday Challenge (challenge #41) team wants us to use their tic tac toe board to create this week.
I used the top 3 across.
twine ~ at the bottom of each page
Thank You ~ to mommy for letting them spend the night at NayNay's house (grandmother)
Tearing ~ Slight bit on the patterned card stock pieces.

The Twist to their challenge is for you to use a crafty machine to help you create. I used my Cricut for my title/wording and retro flowers.

Next, the team over at Sketches in Thyme had a wonderful sketch I used.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today!

Until next time...
Blessings...

Oh Goofy Santa, I Want to be a Maven!

Hi all! Yes, this is my second post of the day.

Click here to see my previous post:

I decided to try my hand at another page using a sketch from the Sketches in Thyme challenge blog. This one happens to be for their Design Team Call they have going on right now. It ends tomorrow so I'm coming in under the wire.....Whew! a close one :)

Here's what I created:

using this sketch:
I turned mine "mirror image" and thought our goofy son would be a great subject! *giggle*
Aaron is a hoot! He is a big ole ham for the camera and loves making faces.

Here's the link to the Design Team Call:
I have been having a ball with Sketches in Thyme's layouts. There is beautiful inspiration on their site. Thanks for all your hard work Mavens :)

Scrapping Feels Good!

Hi y'all!

I've been busy scrapping away (I know, it's been a while since I've posted any pages). Scrapbooking is my first love. I love making cards too but am so glad I haven't lost my scrapping "mojo". :)

I found a great scrapbooking sketch blog, Sketches in Thyme! I love their challenges. So, here I go, full blast, into scrapping again by entering this page there! Oh me!!!

Here's the link to the sketch:

For this page, I used large circles to make up the one bigger circle on the sketch. I also went a little crazy with some white baker's twine :) I love how that turned out!
I'm also a little nuts over pearls right now. They are my "go to" embellishment......currently. I used a stamp for the sprayed look.

For anyone interested the pics are of my husband holding one of our nieces. The top pick is our daughter (left) with a niece (her cousin).

Thank you so much for visiting my blog!

Until next time...
Blessings...
