Colorfully Clean and Simple

This week at SCS we are having a colorful CAS challenge. We are inspired by a Pinterest pic.
Come check it out! :)

Here's what I created:

Here's the pic:

I like that I was able to add all those card stock layers and still keep it CAS. The telescoping layers remind me of an old movie theater sign.

thanks for stopping by!

I am entering my card in the following challenges:

Baby Shower Sketch and Flags

Hiya!
Yes, this is my second post of the day!
If you are looking for the Dueling Darlings post, you can find that HERE.

I have been on a roll with my scrap pages. I love finding sketches to work with and this one won me over!

I love washi tape!

I found the sketch for this layout at Let's Get Sketchy
I flipped the sketch a bit. :)

I also included some flags above my title so I can add my page to the challenge here:

Have a great day!

Until next time...

Flip Flops and Sunshine

Hello!
Welcome to my blog.

Today I'm sharing the card I made for this month's Dueling Darlings Challenge.
It's a little special this month because I am the hostess for the Dazzlers! :)
Carol is the hostess for the Divas.
We decided on the the theme "flip flops and sunshine".

Here's what I made with the kit I sent all the Dazzlers

These little flip flop images come from a CTMH set called August Word Puzzle
beach wording paper from DCWV stack 6
Green textured c/s from MME Where the Heart is stack
Yellow paper from Recollections All Seasons
Pacific Point blue c/s from SU!
the die cut sun is cut with my Cricut using the Cheerful Seasons cart.
green rhinestone from Studio G
flower from Kaisercraft

I sent the flip flop image stamped in a couple different ways so I can't wait to see how everyone used it along with how the other team used their kit.

The Dueling Darlings are listed in my left sidebar.

Thanks so much for visiting me today.

Until next time...
Blessings...

Baby on the Way!

Nope! Not for me! *giggle*
The title is for the page I am posting today! Ha! Ha! Ha! :)

I'm on a roll with my scrap pages.....I keep finding great sketches to use.
I found one over at Sketch N Scrap I wanted to try....

This is my brother in law (and sister in law, LOL) pregnant with their first child.

here's the sketch

Here's a close up of my doodling around the title and the flower embellishment

I found the little bird paper a while back on a clearance rack at HL. I love it because the little cuties are flocked.....they feel so soft and cuddly just like a little baby. :)
I'm loving this page! hee! hee!

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Until next time...

Indian Lunch

Hiya!
Are you having a crafty day? I am! :)

I saw the sketch at Stuck?! Challenges.
I had to play along.

Here is their sketch:

Our daughter loved her Thanksgiving program. She made the little shirt she has on with one of her dad's old t-shirts. :) She likes crafts like her mom!

I used the Cheerful Seasons cart for the feathers and the Jubilee/Celebration font cart for the title.

Until next time...

Butterflies and Hexagons

Hello!

Thanks for visiting my little place in blogland :)

I have a card to share with you that I created for this week's CAS challenges over on SCS. We had to use the color combo of melon mambo, pear pizazz, crumb cake and white. When I first saw this challenge I thought......ewwww, cause I just really thought those colors didn't fit together. I really don't like the look of melon mambo against white so I wanted to soften that combo up a bit and this is what I went with....

By placing the crumb cake layer onto the white base....I think I accomplished my "hot pink" fear. :)
I cut the butterflies out after I inked them up with crumb cake and melon mambo inks using the rock and roll technique. These come from the SU stamp set, For All You Do. The sentiment is a MFT set called ~ Blessed Mouse. I love my CM hexagon punch so I decided to punch a few of those in melon mambo and pear pizazz. Then I just finished it off with a few white pearls.

I hope you join us this week with a CAS creation!

Lela, Lela, She's Our Gal!

Hi everyone!

Today is the 5th and that means we have another "Crafty Gal" to honor. This month we are showing love to Lela. I love THIS card on her blog and had to CASE it. :)

I cut the dragonflies out with my Cricut. Lela also likes to craft with the color orange so I used a bit of that in my card.
The sentiment is from an MFT set ~ EMT Boy
Thank you Lela for all the great inspiration on your BLOG.

I can't wait to see what everyone else in our bloggy group made in your honor. :)
